Dish Towels

My friend Melissa taught me how to make dish towels like this a year or two ago. I am just now getting around to sewing them. I love how they stay put and never fall off of the oven. I told Brandon they are just for drying hands. He says as long as it is not just a decorative towel, he is ok with it.

My First Skirt!

I saw a tutorial for this lace days skirt online and fell in love. I can't believe I did! I made it!! After 3 times starting over and multiple trips to the craft store, it is done and I am so proud of it. It is the first article of clothing I have ever made. I will post a picture of me wearing it Sunday when I actually get my hair curled and look cute.

The Bow Pillow

Here is a picture of the bow pillow. I made two of them to go with the ruffle pillows that are on our longer couch.

My Ruffle Pillows

I am LOVING my new ruffle throw pillows- all four of them. I have been meaning to sew them for months and finally got to it during the holiday! Now I just have two more decorative bow pillows to tackle.

Craft Projects

The easel is a little too big but the plaque I made for my mother. Brandon cut and routed the wood for me and then I cut the vinyl.

My sister Sharon made these two projects: "The Living Christ" surrounded by Christ pictures and "The Family: A Proclamation to the World" surrounded by wedding and engagement pictures for my sister-in-law Shanie for Christmas. My mom and I loved them so much we went and got the supplies to make our own, except our proclamations have temple pictures surrounding them.

My Christmas

Yes, I do look absolutely hideous in this picture and YES, this is my new industrial vinyl machine!! It is massive and we sold our electric piano just so I could set it up and fit it in our back room. I am super excited to pull out the new cutting software and figure it out!

The Sledding Hill

Grandma and Grandpa Rowley (Sarah's dad's side of the family) have a nice cabin and property up in Cle Elum, WA. During the first part of the Christmas break, we ventured up their with my (Sarah's) family. There is also a big sledding hill on the property and we were able to borrow some of the sledding tubes and had a great time!

Dad pulled out tubes around and back up to the top of the hill for us using the gator.

Mom's Nativity Costumes

My mom made new nativity costumes this year so that us adults and the grandkids can wear them. They are simple but fun. Here's our crew from 2011.

Rewind: Brandon's Birthday (Dec. 19)

Brandon's birthday was a fun overnight getaway for us. I was proud of myself as I kept it a surprise until we were well on our way out of town. We went up to Coeur d'Alene, ID and took the holiday lights cruise on the lake. Then headed to Texas Roadhouse and stayed up in Coeur d'Alene that night.

A gift from his family and a gift from me.

We had some extra time when we first got up to Coeur d'Alene, we had some time to kill. So we walked around and into an indoor mall, where there was a fun setup of gingerbread houses. Each house was very unique and it was fun to see some of the different food items used.

Christmas PJs

My mom got us all matching PJs this year. It was fun to have all of my siblings around during the holiday season, except for my brother Tom, who is currently serving an LDS mission in Mexico.
