An Update

So I thought I should probably explain what exactly we are up to these days and for the rest of the summer because I have not been very clear with my recent posts.

Brandon started an internship for the city of Kennewick, WA at the prosecutor's office five weeks ago. I have been in Moscow working and taking a class while he has been doing that. However, today is my last day of work at the University of Idaho Lionel Hampton School of Music and I will be moving on with my life!! The class I took this last five weeks was a leadership course. I am doing a Master's in Organizational Learning and Leadership. It is through the College of Education at the University of Idaho. I will be taking most, if not all, online classes to complete this degree and antcipate completion within a year.

Brandon has one more semester of law school and will graduate in December. Because my degree is mainly web-based, if we move when he graduates, I will still be able to finish my degree.

Today I head to Walla Walla to be with family and work on the farm for the rest of the summer. I am looking forward to it very much. I have not had more than a week or two of time away from my job for over three years now. So this is huge for me. I am also looking forward to being at home more and to being able to spend lots of quality time with my family. My job has taught me a lot and it is just hitting me today that I am finally turning a new leaf. Not sure what to think about things but looking forward to the future.

Last Week!!

This week is my last week in Moscow away from my husband... wahoo!! I don't know if I could go much longer anyway. So I am really looking forward to heading out tomorrow after work. Tomorrow is my last day of work at the School of Music and although I am very grateful for all that this job has done for me, I am REALLY looking forward to the future and for not having to work for a bit. The ladies (Alison and Lacey) and I went out to lunch today. We go out about once a month and it has been really fun to have a few friends that work jobs somewhat similar to mine.

Last weekend Brandon and I finished all of our moving. Last week was definitely one of the most stressful weeks of my life but I made it through! This picture is kind of lame, as I was not feeling all that great and kind of out of it. Brandon actually got me a really nice camera for my birthday and I am hoping that the basic photography class I want to take will be offered soon!

Things are starting to get BUSY!!!

I have been trying to prepare myself mentally for what I have going the rest of this week but for some reason, I am not sure it is working! Last weekend Brandon came to Moscow last weekend and we started doing some packing up of our apartment. Then we headed to Coeur d'Alene, ID to see the Wizard of Oz on Saturday night. Sunday was a busy day for both of us as Brandon had his meetings and I taught Relief Society. After we had eaten an early dinner, he headed off (3 weeks down, 2 to go).

My mom and sisters sort of surprised me and came to visit and help me start moving some of our things last night. We stayed at a hotel in Moscow and went swimming. I meant to take pictures of everything that we actually did together but kept forgetting. Just too much on my mind I guess. This whole moving thing is stressful. I also finish my class this week. If I could only focus, right? Two days left and then just one more week. I can hardly wait for all of the craziness to end! Until then, I just gotta' keep breathing deep and carry on.

Fun Weekend in Wally World!

Last weekend I made the trek to Walla Walla to meet up with Brandon, spend a short weekend with my family, and support my sister Crystal at her baptism. We started off the weekend with the chocolate fountain that I now own!

These kids were pretty excited and into it. Can you tell?

My little brother Stewart flew his rocket. So that was kind of fun.

Another highlight was Stewart's remote control boat that he got for his birthday this year. He took it out to the pond to show Brandon, Kyle and I. So that was kind of fun. I am really looking forward to heading that way (and actually being able to stay for much more than a weekend) again in two and a half weeks!

Mani/Pedi with the Co-Workers

My supervisor, Dr. Hess.

My co-worker, Jenny Warner

Our pretty toes.

Yesterday my supervisor and co-worker took me out for a belated birthday gift. We went and got lunch at the local co-op and took our food to my supervisor's house to enjoy. Then we hit the spa and got manicures and pedicures. It was a great afternoon and I am going to miss working with these two ladies after this month!
