Ugly Bruise

The saddest thing happened this week! I totally fell down the stairs at work bad! It was earlier in the week. This picture was taken just a few days ago. So the bruise is getting better. But I don't think I have ever had one this bad. For those of you who know me, it is almost making me pass out looking at it as I am typing this right now so I had better stop.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I think this was Brandon's favorite part- the spray paint!

Hmmmmmm.....

This is me stocking up our vending machine..

The nearly finished product...

We had a super fun night last night at the ward Halloween party with all of our friends. I made Brandon into a vending machine (as I am sure you have figured out by now). He did not want to wear his costume much because it was so large but we did make the "best homemade costume" prize.

Halloween Hats

Earlier this week, Camille showed me a picture of the cutest craft! It was a witch hat centerpiece. She wanted to make one and so I decided to join her. We first went shopping for the supplies on Monday night. Then we put it all together last night. Our hats do not look quite like the one we saw before we started but they have our own touches in them and they serve as great centerpieces!

Even though it was late when we finished, I still had to show it off!

This is a more close up picture of my hat.
This is my good friend Camille. She was the one who actually came up with the idea. Thank you Camille for letting me in on all of the fun!

This is a shot of our two hats next to each other- hers on the right and mine on the left.

I love these girls!

At least one day of the week, Deserae, Jessica, and I get together and work on crafts. I absolutely love it! They are both so cute and I am getting so many good ideas from them. It is so much fun! Thanks girls for being my buddies!

It's Pedicure Time!

One of my best friends from growing up and college life had an unexpected visit to Walla Walla this weekend. I found out on Thursday that she was coming. So I told Brandon that we had to cancel the rest of our plans for the weekend so that I could see her. I can't believe he sacrificed his fishing trip for me to see her. That is true love!! But it was really fun. I took her to get a pedicure. It was hers and my first pedicure! It felt so good though. I love getting my feet rubbed. The chairs that we sat in were massaging chairs. Mine had a remote to control the massaging of each part of the body. The only downside was that I could not figure out how to control the thigh massage. So like every minute or so my thighs would lift a few inches and the lady would tell me to put them down but she spoke Chinese I think and could not understand that I was trying to turn it off and couldn't. She did an amazing job on my feet though. She cleaned up all of the gross skin and then buffed, scrubbed, and massaged for awhile. Then she painted my toenails green. I chose the lime green for Halloween. I promise it looks better on my in real life than in the picture above. So I feel like I have super amazing toes now because they look ten times better than they used to. It was incredible and so worth it!

He's There... The PHANTOM of the Opera!

What a good looking Phantom! Don't you think?

This last weekend was crazy! But amidst all the craziness, Brandon and I were able to go to the Opera House in Spokane, WA and see Phantom of the Opera off Broadway. It was incredible!!!! We bought tickets way back this last summer and I am so glad we did because we had lower level seats. I was so amazed at the talent of the individuals performing. They literally spend their lives becoming accomlished performers. Talk about maximizing your talent!! I really love the music to Phantom. Some of the songs are so emotional to me and still make me cry every time I hear them. I have had experience singing a lot of them in chamber choirs and such. So it was really fun for me to go to this performance. I feel lucky to have went. Not very many people actually get to see musicals off Broadway in their lifetime. I wish everyone could though.

PuMpKiN Time With The Bleazards!

Mmmmmmmmmmm...
And the race begins...

Natalie carved a "C" on her little pumpkin for her little baby Carter. It was adorable!

The finished product- Whose do you think is cooler?

On Monday night we had a joint FHE with Robby and Natalie Bleazard. Natalie gave a wonderful lesson on gratitude. I will be honest that I really needed to hear it. It has really helped me get through this roller coaster week. We also carved pumkins (as you can probably tell). We had some patterns to work with so I won't attribute all of the work to myself... haha! Thank you Natalie and Robby for hanging out! We love you guys!

My Famous Brother

So my younger brother Tom was nominated by the students at his high school to be in the top 5 nominees for Homecoming king. This means he got to drive out onto the football field in a nice car during halftime of the high school Homecoming football game and stand up there with another girl who was nominated too. He did not get chosen as king but I am so impressed that he made it to the top 5. That is so fun. Way to go Tom!

MOMIX

Last week Brandon and I had a wonderful cultural experience. We attended MOMIX in Pullman, WA. It was a spetacular show full of acrobatic movement and interesting music. That is the best I can describe it. The performers had astounding agility, balance and talent. All in all, it was worth our time and by the way, I love this picture of Brandon. I think he is very attractive in it!!!!!

A Few of My Latest Creations

I am pretty proud of the pumpkin stack one because it was kind of my own invention. I did not follow a book or have anyone help me with it. I took it to work with me and it sits on my
counter there to add some festivity to the office. The Ritchie board I ABSOLUTELY LOVE! Thank you Lacey for helping me with that!

The CUTEST girl ever!!!

One of the highlights of this last weekend was that I got to babysit one of the MANY cute kids in our ward! This little girl's name is Tonnelle (I think I spelled that right). She is such a good girl and I am pretty sure Brandon thinks that I am going to want to steal her from Jade (her mom). It is so fun to be around little kids- especially since all of my younger siblings are starting to grow up now! Thank you Jade for letting me watch her!

CaRaMeL CaRaMeL CaRaMeL ApPlEs!

Just a few weeks ago Brandon and I went to Walla Walla to visit my family. I saw a great deal on Kraft caramels at Rite Aid and could not resist! I absolutely LOVE caramel! So I bought three bags and we brought them with us to make caramel apples with my youngest siblings. From left to right: Rachel, Crystal, and Stewart... the three youngest of my nine siblings. They are so much fun!

I got myself a HUNTER!

So I finally let Brandon skip a day of his classes to go hunting with one of his buddies. At first, I was a little bit unsure about it because I knew it was costing us money. But when I found out he actually shot a deer, I was pretty excited. I think he was too. He couldn't stop grinning from ear to ear!!

Sleep is Wonderful!

Yesterday after church, Brandon let me crash on the couch and it felt great! He let me sleep for a full two hours and I do not regret it at all!!! I don't know why I don't do this every day. I am so much happier when I get my sleep. Arn't we all?
