Lind Family Photo Shoot

This afternoon we did a short photo shoot with my sister Sharon and her little family. I would not say that it was the most successful shoot but we got a few good ones of Gordon, their little one. It was starting to get dark and I was having a hard time keeping light without sacrificing my ISO so unfortunately most of the pictures are probably not too high quality. I am grateful to Sharon, Gary and Gordon for at least letting me get some more experience shooting.

Family Time

Just catching up on family time. Watching ball games and making gingerbread houses are just a few of the highlights.

Scripture Stories Quiet Book

My sister Sharon and I started a scripture stories quiet book last summer. We cut out three pages and that took us nearly a week. I decided to finish both her and my books for Christmas this year. It was a ton of work and something I will probably never do again (as it consumed nearly two full weeks of my time). I am very proud of how they turned out. Below are the pages. Most of them I copied from a book I saw an old acquaintance of mine make for her daughter.

Milestones

Brandon graduated from law school last weekend. This is a tremendous milestone for us and I am so proud of my husband for all of the hard work he put into getting both his MBA and Juris Doctorate degrees during this last 3 1/2 years of our marriage. I also feel so blessed to be working on my masters degree right now. I will graduate in May and I know that our education will be a huge blessing in our lives. I am also thankful for the support of our family and friends. My parents came down for the graduation and we were able to make a trip to Burley, ID to see Brandon's family shortly thereafter. It has been a busy week for us and we are looking forward to the holiday.

Burley, ID Visit

As I mentioned in my milestones post, we made a trip to Burley, ID this week. Monday night was a fun night with family. Two of Brandon's brothers, David and Steve, were able to come over and his family did a little graduation dinner and celebration. Above he is showing off some cuff links and a tie from his parents.

Brandon's brother David made him a stationary box. It looks super nice and something that would have taken a lot of time to make. So it was a very special gift.

This is a bed and breakfast that we pass by every time we drive to Boise or Burley. Apparently the room(s) is inside the dog...?

We thought these Mr. & Mrs. Claus hay bales were pretty cute sitting on a farmers land. The turkey below was also on the same farmer's land. We saw them just outside of Grangeville, ID and I made Brandon pull over so we could take a picture because I thought they were so cool.

Some of good friends from law school, the Muirs, moved to Burley, ID just this last fall for a job. It was fun to hang out with Ashley, play games with her and Alex, and go out to lunch with them and their little girl Abby.
