Our Long Weekend

Last night we returned from a trip to Utah. It was a ton of driving for such a short weekend that I am almost relieved that it is over. We started off our journey on Thursday afternoon and met up with some of our friends, the Binghams, for ice cream at the Blue Cow. It is always good to see friends who have moved on and keep up with what they are doing. We stayed in Boise that night with our friends, the Nakayas. I LOVE talking to those guys. They are hilarious and I always go away feeling better about myself. So we really enjoy being around them.

Friday morning we head on to Utah. We stopped in Burley, ID to drop some fruit off and say hello to Brandon's parents and a few other friends.

Friday night we met up with some good friends of ours in West Jordan, the Hubbards. Kyle Hubbard is one of Brandon's mission buddies and very good friends. We had a good time with both of them and stayed at their place Friday night. Then we went to the Saturday morning session of conference with them at the conference center.

We met up with my brother Kyle and his wife Shanie on Saturday before the Priesthood session and Shanie and I did some shopping at the Gateway while the boys were in their session in the conference center. It was good shopping with Shanie because she is always looking for a good deal and we did find some good deals!

Saturday night we stayed at Kyle and Shanie's place in Provo, UT. Then we went to the Sunday morning session of conference at the conference center together. It was such a short time that we spent with them but I loved every minute of it. I feel like I don't get to see an spend time with my older siblings as much as we have all gone our ways. So when we do get to see each other, it is a special time for me.

This conference was very special to both Brandon and I as we had some important questions that we came prepared to get answers to at the conference. I always find that when I prepare to be taught, I am much more teachable. Although we spent many hours driving in the car and flew from one event to the next, I believe that the trip was worth it. Now if I can just get myself put back together and attack the school work I left behind...
